Summer
The garden is full of flowers, fruits and vegetables and all the sounds of Summer. Quick handfuls of blueberries, strawberries, raspberries or cherry tomatoes are hard to resist. Apriots, peaches and figs warm on old walls flanking the orchard; where over the years we have chosen to leave more of the garden unmown to protect the resident insects and wildlife. The fruit trees seem to sink in the heat and into the long grass. With warmer longer days we eat, cook and talk in the garden, until the sun has set.

Summer Recipes
The season to live in the garden, to cook and eat outdoors. The open sided garden tent is bought out, clean from storage and hung over the large wooden table outside the kitchen. This is the food of long lunches, barbeques and picnics, with large platters of food to share and enjoy. We pick a lot of proudce from the garden, making the most of everythig we grow. The food we eat is lighter with lots of fruits, vegetables and herbs.
