Chocolate Porridge
All the flavours of a comforting hot chocolate, but with your morning oats. This porridge sounds like a treat but it’s actually pretty healthy as cacao powder gives the chocolate hit. The mashed banana and cinnamon gives a natural sweetness.
ingredients
serves 1
40g normal porridge oats, or gluten free oats
220-250ml organic milk, or non dairy
1 ripe banana, peel and mash
2 teaspoons cacao powder
pinch of ground cinnamon
method
Cook the oats and milk, once it starts to thicken and bubble you can add: mashed banana, cinnamon and cacao powder. Keep stirring until completely cooked.
Serve with berries for a bit of sharp sweetness, bear faces are a welcome addition, but optional.
